The open study area on the library's main floor has 26 computers (Macs and PCs) which are always available when the library is open. One workstation is provided on the upper level, and one on the lower level.
The Computer Lab is also on the main floor and has 38 workstations. The Computer Lab is available for individual use and the room can also be reserved for special class sessions or testing. All library computers have access to printing, use current software, and provide connectivity to library and campus online resources. The library provides MacBooks which can be checked out from the Circulation Desk for 3 hours at a time. These are loaded with standard software. Accompanying chargers, headphones, and VGA cables are also available. Contact the Circulation Desk at 965-6241 for availability and policies.
Mounted Video/Data Projector and Pull-down Screen
This equipment, used for group presentations, is available in the Computer Lab and the Penthouse. If a laptop is also needed for a presentation, it can be booked through the Circulation Desk or Media Services. The Penthouse and the Computer Lab can be reserved.
A scanner in the Computer Lab is available for public use.
All areas of the library have Wi-Fi.
Color and b&w printers are networked to all public computer workstations in the library. See "How to Use the Public Printers" for more information.
The main and upper floors each have a coin operated b&w copier.
Staff at the front desk will assist in sending faxes, free of charge. There is no provision for receiving faxes.
Television with DVD player
A television is provided for small groups to use in the Group Viewing Room. Larger groups can use the television in the library Penthouse. Each of these rooms can be reserved. Each public computer also has a DVD player. Headphones can be borrowed at the front desk.
Cassette Player, Slide Viewer, VHS Viewer, Microform Reader/Printer
This equipment is provided on the lower level of the library.
Support for classroom and individual technology needs is also provided by the staff in Media Services. Audiovisual equipment can be borrowed and assistance in preparing multimedia presentations is available. Contact Media Services at 965-7221 or firstname.lastname@example.org
