Mission

Nelson Memorial Library connects the learning community of Pacific Union College with people, information and technology that stimulate intellectual inquiry, facilitate spiritual growth and promote life-long learning.

Vision

As the bridge that connects the learning community of Pacific Union College (PUC) to people, information and technology, Nelson Memorial Library

Manages a building that accommodates and secures the library’s growing print and digital collections and new technologies; provides inviting spaces for active learning, relaxation and reflection.

R

Acquires and maintains resources in various formats and in appropriate quantities and scope to support the College’s curriculum.

I

Works collaboratively with teaching faculty to instruct students in the skills necessary to become independent and critical users of information.

D

Delivers information resources in a timely and efficient manner when and where needed.

G

Participates in global information networks and cooperative consortia to expand and enhance access and sharing of library materials.

E

Provides equal access to library resources and services to all PUC students, faculty and staff.

S

Recruits and retains qualified, competent and friendly staff in sufficient numbers.
